I have a 2004 kia amanti, check engine light was on and i was told to change the o2 sensor and catalyic converter. I changed out the down stream o2 sensor and now the engine is idling high

my car will not go over 20mph, and is getting hot quickly.
i bought the direct fit catalyic converter as told, however
now the mechanic is saying that it may be an electrical
problem yet there was no problem with my car before the
o2 sensor was touched

You should get another check engine code. It may be the throttle body or another sensor like the TPS throttle positioning sensor

Wow I know that me and three other people I know have recently gotten that same code!!! What in the heck??! My car would literally jerk and shake when I tried to accelerate,, needless to say none of what their codes said helped it and now it's in it's grave, rusting, so sad. It is strange those codes just come up with everyone
