Low Coolant

Asked by Guru1W8JG Aug 27, 2019 at 06:42 PM about the 2018 Nissan Versa SV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2018 Versa and my coolant is very
low. I’ve done some research and seeing that
Nissan puts long lasting coolant in all their
cars. Any ideas of why my coolant would run
out so quickly? I just got my oil changed and
they didn’t mention any leaking, though it’s
entirely possible that it is. Just trying to get a
better understanding of why long lasting
coolant would be low in just a year

sounds like you have a leak fill the coolant reservoir with the correct antifreeze to the cold mark and wait to see if it recedes about 15 minutes or so. if so continue filling and waiting until it no longer recedes ( purging ). Cap it and run to operating temperature. When you turn off the car the coolant system should be pressurized. Look for leaks
