199 Ford Taurus

Got a battery for my car ( it sat for 2 months) the
car would not open,I was told cause the battery
was dead.I got into the car,tried jumping it.It had
lights,dash everything..then tick tick tick not even
close to turning over..is it the alternator, or is the
car wiring messed up.

It’s likely that the crank power is too low. Try charging the battery and make up any difference with jumping it. Otherwise it can be the starter.
