99 taraus when i stop it seems like the idle drops and it feels like the tran goes into neutral and when i start to go i give it gas and it slams into gear and from there on it works ok until i stop again.

So when stepping on the gas my car won't accelerate the engine revs but it does accelerate until trying after a few times than it will go normal until I slow down or stop than it starts over again .. 9 Answers

my 1996 ford taurus gl when going down the road and coming to a full stop. the car will not move unless you put it in neutral and back to drive it will then go down the road. If i take it easy shifting is smooth but if i give it excessive gas it shifts rough we changed transmission fluid and filter and replaced speed sensor what could be the problem need help bad to get this thing going 3 Answers

Have a 99 Ford Taurus it runs and idles rough. Sometimes when I press the gas to go it won't go over 10mph I let off the gas and the rpm's go back down and I give it gas and it will pick up speed. 1 Answer
