why did my 99 ford taurus go like into neutral driving down the road? will not go into any gear now.

Will it not move at all? Trans go out? Is your neutral safety switch still good, Have you done any maintenance on the transmission (fluid & filter changes) on schedule? Have a trans shop investigate it(best bet).
