I put 96 ford steering column, in 99 Taurus, an
lights come one,an dash lights. But  car want start?

I’m having the same problem except I have 99 Ford Taurus and I replaced the tumbler and the lights and everything come on but the car won’t start but my lights and everything comes on even if the key is out like everything stays on I’m thinking new column but I’m not sure

    I had to put a 2000 mercury steering column in my '99 Ford Taurus and not it won't start. All wires match up, lights can me on. The door even dings when open but it won't start.
