Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 99 Taurus that cranks over but doesn't start. I have had a few
instances recently where this occurred but after letting it sit for some time it
eventually starts. It been 2 days now and still doesn't start.

On an aging car, it could be anything. Fuel filters are to be replaced every 30K miles. Scan for codes but I'm thinking a failing fuel pump. Listen for it to "prime up" when key is turned on. Check for pressure/flow while filter is off, being replaced. It's 55 psi pressure.
