Would it be because the emergency brake is pushed, or the lever pulled up a little bit? Check that the emergency brakes are off.
Mine is doing it too. The E brake is off all the way and it still dings. Sometimes it stops but starts when I make a turn, and stops when I make a turn again. If the turn is too wide then it just keeps going and going and going.
It could many things. The common one is new brake pads are required. The handbrake sensor may be faulty also.

Has anyone came to a conclusion to this question? My Van has been doing this, my ABS light and brake light comes on and the bell starts to ring. Any help would be appreciated. Changed brakes.
My same problem. The brake light comes on and find. It too drives me crazy. It would ring for a couple days, then it would stop for a few days. It's not leaking. I have had 3 garages trying to figure it out.
Mine too on 2002 Kia Sedona. When the ABS & brake lights are flashing & screaming, it blows my head lights, all but parking, & broke transmission arm on windshield wipers bcz they sped off the window. Radio was also distorted until it blew too. It's like it's sucking the life out of my van. Ive already been through 3 batteries & 2 alternators. Dealership and diagnostic testing at several places doesn't show the problem. Have all new brakes, wheel bearings, cylinders, etc...
I have same problem I removed the panel in passager side footwell(behind ashtray) one screw located the ding speaker with driver door slightly open to make sure and removed the power took me two minutes no more ding . I know it's not the best advice but it spots that irritating noise. ;)
You can remove dash panel 3 screws right hand side of passengers side pop out the dash enough to get in to the the little black box it has two sets of wires going into a circuit board open this lift the circuit board on the underside there is little speaker that's where the noise comes from make sure engine is off place a small pick or screwdriver into center hole this will stop the noise effectively breaking speaker this adviceis not to fix problem but to stop the noise there are a number of reasons this speaker will trigger including if you open your door whilst the keys are in the ignition good way to test if the problem is intermittent and save time and money with garages not fixing the problem.
Unplug the brake sensor by where you put the brake fluid in at work for me no bell sound
the same dinging and hand break light happens when there is a servo problem and its hard to break,

How do I disconnect the speaker I got it apart could I fill the hole with super glue or there a way to disconnect speaker without breaking circuit board

If it has the hand release, and you use your foot to put the brake on, then try pulling the foot pedal up and then the hand lever after each other. try this a couple of times until the light goes off. The dinging means the sensor is detecting the rear brake is still "on".
I had the same problem when returning from FL this year had to pull bake release and pedal up at same time and it stopped hope this helps
