Brakes

Asked by Anthony Jun 04, 2008 at 06:13 PM about the 2002 Kia Sedona LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a Kia Carniva (Australia) ,Sedona in Europe. When I put my foot on the brake , a warning alarm goes off. Its the same alarm as if you drove off with the handbrake on. It also goes off if i go around a sharp bend at low speed like a roundabout.

yes the brake fluid level is fine. Im leaning towards the front end alignment. Because i have one wheel nut missing as i need to replace the stud, i think that this has something to do with it

I would check your front and especially your rear brake pads. The warning light turns on for the hand-brake and the hand-brake only engages the rear brakes. If your pads are really low this could be causing the alarm to go off.
