my new camry just took $44.00 to fill the tank and 2 hours later it was on empty according to the dash board

My 2018 camry toyota was filled up with fuel yesterday and this morning on my
way to work the empty light came on?  Could this be a computer glick

Check and see if it really is empty or not. If it is empty you have a leak or a fuel thief.
