Is there suppose to be light for center console gear shift for 2018 Escape

I did and they said it does not light up which makes no sense. That is why I was asking. Is there somebody that has the 2018 Ford escape that can tell me.

Thanks for your help. It does not make sense. It looks terrible at night not be lit up It is so dark. It seems a safety issue to only be able to see on dash. I am very disappointed.

Everything else in the vehicle has light but the gear you are in. Ford failed in this. My 2013 Fusion gear shift has light.

I bought my 2018 Ford Escape Titanium in April and I sure thought the gear shift lights illuminated at night then noticed they don't. I took my car to the Ford Dealership where I bought it this morning and they also told me it isn't supposed to light up. It's hard to see to change gears at night in the dark. This sucks!

I really think this is a safety issue....I hope they are forced to fix this.

what about 2018 ford edge sport center console? no indicator light on mine just dash.
