my 99 kia sephia has had the check engine light on since i have bought it and im trying to get it inspected. i have replaced both of the o2 senors and gutted out the cat. the light is still on after i clear the codes. what could it be?

Why did you gut the catalytic convertor? Did you bother to check the 02 sensors before replacing them? You need to have a code scan done before you spend any money on this car replacing random parts. Gutting the cat could be part of your problem here, as well as a Federal crime punishable by up to a $10,000 fine.
gutting the cat, that's a smart thing to do.Start by replacing that(should only be around $1200.00) then throw more parts at...eventually you'll get the right one...
well judging by what you have done, i think you should take out the dash and remove the light for the check engine light:)
Removing the dash light will not change your inspection result. You may not get the light to go out now because of the Catalytic gutting. I had similar problem on 98 Sephia. The rubber pleneum between the Mass Air Flow Sensor and the throttle body was ripped I put new sensor in and just taped up the plenum real good reset the code - light never came back on
