I have 19" wheels on my Escape can I put 18" winter tires on my vehicle?

No. You can not put 18" tires on 19" wheels. Furthermore, my information shows that your Escape actually has 17" wheels with P235/15x17 tires. Check the labeling on your tires and check on the door pillar inside the driver's door for recommended tire sizes. You may have some unknown tire option but I doubt it.
