Engine Swapping the v6 in a 2018 Camaro LT

Asked by JonnyTsunami123 Oct 26, 2020 at 11:20 PM about the 2018 Chevrolet Camaro 1LT Coupe RWD

Question type: Car Customization

I recently got a 2018 Camaro LT for 13k from an auction and was able to get
repairs done for around 2k. I want to get a v8 for the loudness and
performance and I was wondering if it would be possible to swap out the v6
with a v8. If so, what would else would be needed?

36k in my area.

You can buy the engine, trans, exhaust, ECM and other parts separately, but it would it would far cheaper to buy the whole drivetrain from a V8 parts car. Cheaper still, sell your V6 Camaro and buy a V8.

Best to install an Edelbrock (Torrance, CA) already tuned Supercharger while using 93 or 91 octane fuel. You will get 465-500hp while your vehicle will be lighter Ruth an a V8 465 hp vehicle thus your car will be faster than the stock V8. Only $7,500 installed. $4,200 for supercharger tuned. $4,700 with taxes. And you will still save tons on gas compared to V8.
