will 18" wheels fit on a 2018 camaro ss
been looking to change out my stock 20" wheels, hate the low profile look.
but I'm split, some tire shops say it will work others say the brake calipers are to big and I'll have to spend thousands to make it work. i don't want to order wheels and tires just to find out i have to pay for return shipping
18" wheels are an option for the Camaro. Check with your dealer to see if your models brakes will clear the calipers.
Just a note - your SS comes with summer only tires so get all season tires if you want to drive in the rain.
Re: 2018 Camaro SS wheels. From lots of research I've found no straight answer, other than going to a tire dealer and having them try on 18" rims directly. Makes it hard to price barter. Biggest problem I've read are inside weights rubbing/falling off. No direct answers if/how Brembo brakes affect sizing. Re: Summer only tires and rain. They work great with good grip. Issue is weather temperature. At 40 degrees or below, rubber gets too hard to grip anything - wet or dry.
From my research at Camaro6.com, the wheel size 18x8" et20 works with 4-disc Brembos and no rubbing. Assuming wheel weights good as a couple of members reports using these on their SS's. Still unclear if having Magnetic Ride Control affects clearance. Frustrating can't get definitive answer.
No 18s will not work with bamboo brakes, in fact if your 20 inch are not the correct for 1ss camaro, they will not work,
Bembro brakes, need to check wheel part numbers on wheels to ensure they work with them. Or grind the standard 20 inch wheels to clear the calipers

yes they will, no problem,,, It's only when the camaro is a 1 or 2 SS, and is installed with the bemro brakes, then you have to ensure the rims are made for these large brake calipers. Stock calipers are no problem and you will enjoy the 20 inch rims. go for it.
