lift and tires on a Silverado

Asked by Tenabug Apr 11, 2018 at 01:26 AM about the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Car Customization

I originally wanted to get a 6" lift with 35s on a
2018 Silverado. But I'm a pretty small girl and it
was pretty intimidating. Would I get a similar effect
if I did a 3" lift and 31s without it looking too big for
me? And would there be much of a price
difference?

The 31" tires would be cheaper and you would not need a lift as those are pretty much stock.

Thank you! I'm obviously new at this but is the only reason for a lift is to get big tires? I'm going for the look. I like how the 6" lift and 35s look but it's just too big for me. If I just put 31s on it am I going to be so disappointed? Would a 3" lift be enough for 35s? And would that still be too big for me?

3 inch would be good for 33s, or maybe even a large metric size. Ie 315/70 etc. Wheel spacers, or offset aftermarket wheels can help also. You really need the lift so they will clear to turn. With spacers it allows for less lift, but does put extra strain on the bearings. I hope this info helps you. I encourage women wanting lifted trucks. If I can help at all, let me know.

I want to put a 4 inch suspension lift on my 2015 Silverado & I'm getting 20 inch wheels. What size tire can I fit without rubbing?
