Auto 4x4

Asked by Carl Apr 08, 2019 at 03:24 PM about the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: General

How does auto 4x4 work? I was driving my truck in auto
4x4 and noticed that it was pulling and vibrating like it was
in 4x4 when no conditions existed for 4x4. I had my truck
placed on a lift when it was in auto 4x4 and the vehicle
turned off. When I spun the front tire the back spun as well.
Is that normal? My understanding is that when the truck is
in auto 4x4 the truck remains in 2H until power is needed.

Isn't it still under warranty? I would take it back to the dealer.
