2005 LIncoln LS hot ac HELP

Asked by dld1234 Aug 31, 2016 at 07:57 PM about the 2005 Lincoln LS V8 Sport

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 Lincoln  LS V8 that overheated  and spilled out  2 gallons of coolant.  After the coolant was replaced it was taken around the block and I noticed the ac doesn't work.  The ac blows hot air, and if you just put it on vent air, that also blows hot air.  This is unbearably hot air that comes from the ac or the vents.
I took it up to have it pressure tested and was told there were no leaks but the front of the radiator had a build-up of things on it, and was told that was the reason for my problems. They cleaned the stuff off the radiator.
Picked up the car, and had the same problem with the ac.  The air that blows when it Is on vent or ac is extremely hot.
I think the ac has to be tied in to the initial overheating of the car. Maybe something was damaged when it overheated, or it blew a fuse or relay, etc.
I sure could use some help.
Thanks

I have the same problem same car I replaced the resivoir tank 3 times it helped but ac didn't work still just blowing very hot hair out when I drive it on the freeway or highway no ac on but my feet would be burning from the heat that was comming up under the peddles..... But , I have had to change my alternator as well it worked great for a little while but then it started leaking and boiling again . now I have to replace the resivoir tank again .... Ls lincoln v8 2005 needs to be sold to someone else that can put up with it because it is just a commen issue with these cars that will Problie never acctually run great for long periods of time , I think it's the stick & automatic ability to switch over when needed. I don't think the parts that are used to operate this feature without some kind of issue with a part that was used to operate the feature not made of the kind of material or plastic Instead of aluminum everything is made of plastic or cheep rubber that just get way to hot to with stand high temperatures that Lincoln ls v8 runs at.... But im a woman and I wouldn't really know for sure but ive heard of so many of the same issues with my car ....
