05 Navigator in "limp mode"

I have no knowledge with vehicles so PLEASE KEEP THIS
IN MIND WHILE READING. I was driving home (going
around 45mph) and my vehicle started to lose speed. At
first I thought maybe out of gas, but I still had half a tank. I
put the pedal all the way to the floor and nothing. I pulled
over and shut it off. It crunk back up but would not go
anything over 25 mph. We have changed the battery
terminals, replaced the battery, it recently had an oil change
and a new altenator put in. My brother in law said it has a
bad air ride compressor. We have checked the fuel pump
among other things.

Did u try replacing the break pedal AnD gas pedal sencer r the gas petal itself
