Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I've changed the coil on cylinder 5, and yet the
check engine light comes on. Ran the code and it
still says Misfire on cylinder 5 still. Smh. What
could it possibly be?!

What about the spark plug?
My mechanic changed all of them too
After your coil packs and plugs are changed the engine light code needs to be reset. Go to an auto parts store and have them reset it.
I've done that too. But once I go 50-60mph. The check engine light comes right back on.
switch the coil with another one and see if the codes follow the same coil, sometimes you need a coil made in the usa
New injector also. I'ma switch the coils tomorrow and see if the code follows. But the thing is tho, I bought that coil brand new a month ago
So far I've had it changed twice, new coils both times, but it still comes up as a misfire on 5. I've been doing a little research online and one guy said it may be the fuse box, computer. I guess Fords are just complicated. Idk
Is there white powder that smells like sugar around the coolant bottle? If its not spark plugs... injectors... coils... it would be something with the wiring to the injector or spark plug.... it also could be the connectors have microfretting (corrosion)
You have done the coil, plug and injector. You need to do three more things, First off you need to do a compression test on the #5 cylinder to see if that checks out. Just guessing it should be 120 to 140psi. then you need to get a noid light, they are cheap, while its running unplug the coil plug in the noid light to see if it is getting a pulse, the light should flash off and on, do the same for the injector. I highly doubt its the fuse box
Well steve is on track on doing the compression test, but to know anything you need to do all as more inportain then how many pounds is they need to be within 15 pounds of each other they can be lets says 100 pounds and one is 60? or one is lets says 125 then you have found your problem, sounds to me like maybe a burnt valve?
