1998 ford escort has a delayed start

Will start after 30 minutes of trying , replaced
timing belt ,engine control module ,distributor
tie rod ,water pump. Has Alot of new parts.
Thinking it may be fuel related.?

Scan for problem codes. If nothing comes up, it's probably fuel related. Start with replacing the fuel filter if it's more than 30K miles old.
if it's not the gas filter, replace your fuel pump. Find out if it is even operating for you. When you turn the key to the on position you will hear a slight vibration from the gas tank area ( or wherever Escort has it's gas pump ( most pumps are in tank because in 1991 that is what the government told the car makers.. NO MORE harness attached to chassis gas pumps ). Don't turn the key over and over and burn up your starter! WAY too many people who don't understand cars do this and wind up with no car at all. good luck
First...Go to auto zone and get loaner fuel pump pressure gauge and look how to test or hav mechanic do it.. As said before u can also listen by gas fill up, have someone turn key to on position and listen for pump to start pumping..but still check pressure.
