I Have A 2003 Lincoln Ls V8 with 8,865 miles. It recently started to overheat everything else works great. What could be causing the problem??

Does it overheat mainly in traffic and cool back down when you driving at highway speeds? If so check your electric radiator fans they should be running when ac is on and at an idle. Also check fan clutch if yours is equipped with a belt driven fan. If overheating at all times I would tend to think its either bad water pump or faulty thermostat.

Is that a typo? It has 8865 miles? That's 865 miles a year unless it has been stored....then if not 'mothballed' properly that leads to a multitude of problems, with the cooling system and other things ..good mornin' dandy
