working. the shifter is not working normally. I have to turn he key half way and
put it on neutral to start the car. the diagnotic said my fuel pump module,
throttle sensor and a ignition coil is bad. could this all be due to a bad
computer

Has anything recently been repaired or replaced? If not it could be a computer failure or may need a hard reset, to accomplish this you need to disconnect battery first by removing the negative cable first then remove the positive cable, leave these disconnected for at least 30 minutes, then reconnect positive cable first then reconnect negative cable. See if this resolves problem, otherwise you'll need further diagnosis.
When you say you have to turn the key "half way", do you mean to the "on" position, or some sweet spot somewhere in between? If you have to find a sweet spot, the ignition cylinder could be the problem. Once you get the car started, does the other items you listed operate? Obviously the fuel pump is working or the vehicle would not start. What about the wipers, etc. you mentioned above? What diagnostics were used to indicate three systems were bad, all at the same time?
Thanks. Well i changed the fuel pump and noticed that the old pump was hot wired. We put it the correct way and now the car wont start. it sounds like it wants to but it doesnt even with a jump. I still didn't try the hard reset
Now check the fuel pressure with a gauge at the rail. A gauge cost about 20 bucks. The pressure readings with ignition on, engine off, and with with engine running should be available on the net.
