Condensation in headlights
Asked by Kurt Feb 12, 2019 at 07:51 AM about the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD High Country Crew Cab 4WD
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2018 Silverado HD and my pass side lower head lamp is fogging up
when I wash it. I took it to the dealer for a check up and they told me this is
normal. I found this a little odd as the other three head lamp enclosure don’t
exhibit the same “fogging”. When I wash it. Are the service techs correct or
are they just feeding me a line?

I just bought a 2019 2500hd duramax and I have the same exact issue. The service advisor tried telling me it was due to the temperature change outside (15degrees) and i told him thats bs. If that's the case why aren't my other 3 headlights having issues and how come the other 50 duramax's sitting in the lot don't have the issue? After 15 min of arguing he said fine we'll replaced it but if it happens again we won't. I called other dealerships and they told me that its a defect, so obviously it depends who you talk too. Fyi my truck has 1200 miles on it.

This is not normilish. $52k for a truck to look like this, I think not. I'm in the third round of the fight with general motors Corp and am going to keep throwing blows until I'm knocked out cold.
