Is it safe to drive the car when the ac doesnt get cold, husband said the car my seize....

My ac recently stopped blowing cold air- My husband says because
everything is on the same belt, the car may seize- He thinks the compressor
broke- haven't had it diagnosed yet, but seriously is it safe to drive?

Yes safe to drive, probably just lost the refrigerant in the AC, just keep it off until fixed. The AC pulley is actually on it own bearing and is just a pulley. The AC clutch only kicks in by a magnetic field to stick to the pulley to rotate the compressor. So just keep it off, but still doesn't hurt much if it kicks in.
