Abs emergency brake light and no speedometer

While driving on the highway our lincoln ls showed
up with the abs emergency brake traction lights
and no speedometer...also lots of play in steering
at highway speeds

Sounds like you may have some bad front wheel bearings. When they go bad they can also knock out the wheel speed sensor. It all comes new when the wheel hubs are replaced. But to verify have the ABS codes read. It would indicate a wheel speed sensor. The bearings have to be checked by hand with the front end off the ground.
