A truck that new should still be under warranty but dealers still like to scam you for a $100 "Diagnostic Fee". Ask first. You could rest your check engine light by disconnecting the battery a few minutes but be careful that you know the radio reset code, on a note card in the owner's manual. Or you could drive it a while. After several "good" drive cycles the code might correct itself.

Hello Chuck. Go to an auto parts store for a free code scan. Ask what it is or write down the codes and Google for more info. If it looks like it would be covered under warranty, take it to your dealer. You might want to buy your own scanner on Ebay for as little as $10 so you can read codes and cancel the check engine light yourself. Knowledge is power and dishonest repairmen hate that.
