Humming noise

My 2018 Toyota Highlander is making a humming
noise in the rear after sitting in a garage for over 6
hours.

Perhaps the fuel pump is running. Have your dealer listen to it.

I asked Toyota about this. They said it was a common question. It has something to do with a canister that needs to empty so it's completely normal.

Yes, We have the same issue.. with same year Highlander.. But what is the canister holding, and where is it emptying to? No puddles on the floor, nor noticeable gases in the garage. Toyota USA should be more explicit!!! Kurt kwk324@outlook.com
