I have 96 linc cont the window/door lock control module is draining my battery.

I doubt it can't be unplugged. Whether or not it affects getting into the car, I don't know. I would open the door and check in the jam, pull the rubber gasket to see if it is inside the door itself or inside the car under the dash. I would jump on a forum and ask around. You might also get lucky with ford / mercury having the same part but I don't know. Best regards,

Someone may have a used one from a scrap car. It will have to be used, whether it is lincoln or you get lucky and have a ford/mercury part.. they made a lot of those vehicles the same for many years. There are quite a few of these vehicles in junk yards and self serve junk yards. I'm surprised ebay doesn't have any (I haven't looked btw so just assuming).
