I have a 98 Ford Escort. Should the Radiator cooling fan come on, (Cold Start) when I turn the Heater on?

Defrost, AC and Heat are all on one switch. It's about 40 Degrees he and the Temp went up to normal after about 8 miles. Thank you for answering sir.

I had a 94 Escort and the radiator cooling fans would come on and off with the air conditioning compressor. When you select defrost the compressor will come on to dehumidify the air being blown onto the windshield. But only if the outside temp is above about 35 degrees Fahrenheit. Hope that helps! Jim
