sounds like you have a plugged heater core, you can try to flush it out if that don't work then it will have to be replaced, and is very expensive because the dash has to come out

You mean like if there was work done to the cooling system to make sure and purge the air pockets out when refilling?

Sounds like plugged heater core. Inlet is good but it's to clogged up for fluid to travel through it. I've used vinegar and air compressor to blow it out through both hoses

they use a blend door to control the heat setting not a coolant control valve, If on hose is hot and one cold you have a restriction inside the heater core, I have had luck with CLR you can buy this at a hardware store

The 97 to 02 has a blend door system with reg heating, if your expedition has Aux rear heat you will have a control valve for the rear heat, so my thinking there should be flow through the front heater core at all times. Is very hard to diagnose cars/trucks without seeing them, but I try to give the best advise I can. with the information a have

I'm having the same problem. I checked the actuator motor, I checked the blend door, I flush the heater core, and I replace the thermostat but still no luck.

Same problem on my 2010 sport trac. No heat, blender door works, replaced heat control valve, replaced thermostat, flushed everything including the heat core. Still only blows cold air and a slight whine in engine compartment when engine revved. any suggestions on where to go next?
