2005 mazda 6 will not start

Asked by Mike Nov 05, 2016 at 10:53 AM about the 2005 Mazda MAZDA6 4 Dr s Grand Touring Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 mazda 6 with 140k miles on it. I was
went through a puddle and it threw on my check
engine light. Due to work I couldn't get it fixed right
away. It ended up being a misfire in cylinder 4. I
replaced. The ignition coil and the light went off.
About an hour later it came back on and said
cylinder 6 was misfiring and my crankshaft timing
was off. I drove it for maybe an hour more and the
car randomly just died as I was getting off the off
ramp. Could not get it to start. Would barely turn
over. Tow truck driver said it smelled like an
electrical fire.

Sounds like you have a big problem in ur hands. You're gonna need a real time scanner to find out which sensors are not working and to test the ECM (computer) something got fried
