expedition died at 65mph - beep sounds - then dead dash and no crank? Why?

I would check the battery first - battery, cables/terminal connections, then alternator. Based on the limited info given, it may be a loss of electrical power that caused motor to shut down and not crank, but there are a lot of other things that can cause it too. So start with the simplest solution first.
