What would the diminished value be of a previously wrecked 2018 Chrysler Pacific EHybrid Limitted?

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

How much would the trade-in value be diminished if the vehicle (a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica EHybrid limited) had sustained $4,000 of damage to the rear hatch and bumper, but had been professionally repaired?

1 Answer

Significant damage like you describe that shows up in histories will typically result in diminished values of as much as 20% (or more) compared to an undamaged comparable vehicle. Trade in is affected for this reason, and also that type of damage usually precludes a vehicle from being marketed and supported as a CPO, or Certified Pre Owned vehicle by most Manufacturer supported dealerships.
