Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I start the car I get an
electronic siren noise from dash area.
It lasts about 5 seconds. Any idea
what this siren like alarm indicates?

There have been so many topics related to mystery dings, beeps, chimes, and assorted noises coming from the dash on late model Dodges, you can usually find a multitude of posts and suggestions on just about every Dodge forum about what these are. Can be from the UConnect system, Occupant Restraint system, Backup alert, oil or brake fluid alerts, a fault with air bags at startup, if you're under 2 gallons of gas, just too many things that can cause a chime or warning noise. I'd have the dealer look for the cause, chances are they can hook it up to a scan tool and see what is doing it or if it's being caused by a faulty module.

I don't have and answer??? I would like to know if this problem is covered under warranty

I feel so stupid. After trying to find out the source of my beep beep beep, I asked my friend to help me find it. It took him less than a minute to find that the alert was coming from my dashcam, not the car. It wanted me to re-format the memory card.
