Question type: Shopping & Pricing
I'm getting ready to sell my Volkswagen beetle ad by my sisters Mazda tribute that has 110,000 miles on it is this a
safe idea she said she hasn't had any problems with it other than the paint chipping in a view areas but she has had
that fixed I mainly want it because it a v6 and it has 4 doors so I can carry around friends cuz my bug it practically a
2 seater cuz I would never shove anyone in that small back seat!
And does any one know what the gas mileage is on this car its a 2003 an I would only be keeping it for a couple of
yrs cuz when I turn 21 I will be moving away for collage and I will need a good new car that I now I can trust across
country
Serious poleople only!
Please no rude comments!
Thank you

Newyorker2013 - The Mazda Tribute/Ford Escape are good vehicles if they are maintained. If you're correct in your assumption that maintenance has been performed regularly, it will run to 200,000 without problems. But remember, when buying a car that has 10 years and over 100,000 miles on it, you can run into a lot of small problems like sensors which aren't normally checked unless the check engine light coming on. You won't run into any major problems with the drivetrain unless it's been abused and not maintained.
Ok the only thing I can think of that she had to take it in for was the airbag light came on once and I think maybe the starter went out or it was somthing else
Take it to a garage and let them have a quick look, this will save alot of problems in the future.
there is no problems what soever with my mazda tribute its gone all the way to 256000 miles never had a problem with it take definatley
Our 03' Mazda Tribute has been one of the most reliable cars we have ever owned. All we've had to replace on it are consumables (wiper blades, battery, tires, oil/anti freeze changes, that's all! If you take are of your Mazda, it'll take care of you. Now if they could find a way to reduce the $800 spark plug replacement fee we'd be all set! I know it's only once every 100K, but still!
