Why would my power windows only work when the driver's door is open?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was having trouble with my power windows starting with the front passenger door but ultimately all windows.  I replaced the driver's side switch panel and fuse box relay before discovering that everything works fine if the Driver's side door is more than half way open.  Any thoughts?

Some sort of wiring problem in the door. Perhaps a loose wire that makes contact when the door is open.
