2002 Mazda Tribute was running fine then started after high pressure clean and the engine and gearbox died at the same time. The black selector box around the gear selection LCD display disappeared

any any gear from gearbox.

yes you might need to leave the hood open for a few days and let it dry out and you also could have knocked out the PCM wires
