A.c. Compressor pulley wobbling

Asked by Daqid Jun 05, 2017 at 12:51 AM about the 2002 Mazda Tribute LX V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2002 mazda tribute lx 2wd 3.0l. My ac
compressor pulley is wobbling whether the ac is on
or not. I'm wondering if I could just change the
pulley or assembly instead of the entire
compressor? How would I be able to tell without
pulling it off?

Additional question, could i pull my pulley off and just replace the barring, "if" that's all is wrong? I don't use my a.c. At all and can't find a Bypass pulley or ac bypass belt for this truck.

SOUNDS LIKE THE A/C CLUTCH IS COMMING APART...THERE NOT EXPENSIVE.
