why does my lexus nx300 pull right?

Torque steer can be annoying and I thought it had been tuned out of most new cars. Dramatic sounds really bad. I might have a good independent shop inspect it and document the findings as this sounds like a safety issue. I would also complain directly to Lexus.

A quick net search reveals this is a common issue with your car. Look up torque steer and read all about it. If this was my car I might experiment with tire pressure and add or subtract a couple of pounds of pressure to one side. This might tune out a little of the problem. Perhaps an aftermarket "fix" will become available.

I have the same issue with my brand new NX300h AWD. I did 3 times the geometry without success. I've just sent a complaint to Lexus, let's see if they can do something.

I’ve hired a Lemon Law lawyer. Lexus is useless. I’ll let you know the results. I hate this fucking car every single day. It’s ridiculous how Lexus has treated their buyers. My car pulls to the right even in Cruise Control mode on the freeway when the gas pedal is automatically engaged. This is a huge accident waiting to happen if someone gets in your car and drives it. I will not allow any of my family to drive my Lexus for fear of killing themselves. That’s a different kind of lawyer now isn’t it?

Just came back from lexus, they checked the alignment of the tires again (4 times in 1 month) each time the report says the alignment is wrong! That means they need to check further why the alignment change while driving! Hereby the report of the 2 last geometry (3 days between each)

I’ve been told by the head mechanic at Lexus it has nothing to do with the alignment of the tires. It is a problem with how they designed the engine, transmission and mounts. When you step on the gas it turns right due to the torque (or twist) of the engine. Really bad design. I have a corvette from the 60’s with twice the amount of power and it drives straight. Lemon law lawyer is in your future.

You were right. Lexus just told me the same, they tried on the test car at the garage and it's the same behaviour, it pulls right. It seems that all Lexus NX300 in the world has the same issue! I feel that Lexus will have really big problems in the future. Today I just contact the lawyer, an independant expert will have a look and state if lemon law applies. Can you tell me what have you done with your lawyer already?

basically we signed a document that allows them to contact lexus on my behalf. they asked that i not take it back to lexus for any repairs or services until we get an answer. they suggest that most of the time we should hear back within 45 days and be able to move forward in some way. sent all the documentation to them with the service calls they performed. etc.... that was about a week ago... i totally agree about Lexus being barraged with this problem from customers especially since they do not have a current fix from what i gather. they are relying on consumer's accepting the service manager's laugh in your face when they say 'the car is within factory tolerance' (he actually laughed when he said it to me...). want to know what really makes me bummed? i drove probably 15 cars before leasing my lexus. what a waste of time and energy... now I'm back to square one... Was a solution reached? I have bought a 2016 Lexus just recently and am having the same issue. I have had it aligned three times, finally the third mechanic directed me toward this thread and similar ones. I know I can’t do anything under the “lemon law” because I bought it used.

The workaround I found is to balance with tyres pressure. My configuration is 2.2 bar front left, 2.5 for all the others. Lexus is denying everything and I was tired spending my time there. Even their brand new NX test car pulls right on the highway!
