Battery dying on my 2006 ford mustang gt,

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My battery will not hold charge on my 2006 ford mustang gt. I have not drove it a lot, since the battery dies overnight. I have put in a new altenator and a new battery, yet it will not keep charge. The "check charging system does come on from time to time but with a new altenator? What should? Did the pulling all the fuses, didn't work, pulled the shaker 500 fuses as well, still having a the same problem.

sounds like a short to ground. charge up the battery, disconnect the cable from the starter solenoid let it sit overnight and check the battery with a meter. If it is good start disconnecting from other things like main fuse panel and check.

My mustang done this also. Same problems. Turns out the wires that went to the alternator. One had burnt. Fixed the wires and has been running fine ever since. Knock on wood!
