Where do I put the transmission fluid?

Asked by Shannie Feb 24, 2007 at 11:37 AM about the 2001 Mazda 626 LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car is running like a stick shift.  When I press on the gas it jerks and doesn't accelerate very quickly.  My transmission fluid is low and I want to add more but I cannot figure out where it goes.

Hello, I assume you discovered your transmission fluid was low by checking the dipstick. If so, you've found where the transmission fluid goes. =) Hopefully you did this on a level surface with the motor running (as you should do to check transmission fluid). To fill the fluid back up, grab a funnel with a very narrow exit point, and put it in the same tube from which you extracted the dipstick. Best of luck! CarGrrl
