can the need for spark plugs and wires have any effect on how stiff the brakes feel?

Asked by maleriem Jan 26, 2013 at 10:03 PM about the 2001 Mazda MPV LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2001 mpv needs spark plugs and wires and threatens to turn off when stopped unless the engine is reved. However now my brakes feel stiff as if the car is not on at all. they do not go nearly as far as they were a day ago. are these two issues related?

sounds like a vacum leak somewhere plugs would have to be misfireing bad to cause vac. loss, plugs will miss from vac. loss ,look for vacum hose leak first, listen thru a piece of hose yall will hear a hissing under hood somewhere, just guessing

The brake booster works on vacuum. A leak in that hose will cause stalling and stiff brakes.

Can I put two 215-60-16 in the front and two 215-65-16 size tires on my all wheel drive dodge caravan
