Car won't start.

When I turn the key to the on position the
fuel pump does not run however when i
start cranking the engine the fuel pump
continuously runs and the car won't start
why??

fuel pump circuit or relay or relay fuse is dead and that lights up the spark also. the currant your seeing is pump feed while in crank position fed from the pcm
