Wondering if its thw water pump or thermestat

Over the last few weeks my car has
started running alittle hot maybe
once or twicw but as soon as I stop it
goes back down to temperature and
wont do it agaon I have to almost put
water in it everyday and I hear no
sqeaks or noises the water pump may
be going out but I also dont want to
get stranded how could I figure out
which one it is for sure?

The easiest and cheapest place to start is the thermostat. Replace that. Also, if you have electric cooling fans, make sure they are turning on when your engine is hot. You may have one fan that seized up if you have dual fans.
