if harmonic balancer is bad what will it cause the vechile to do

It will not dampen the vibrations in the engine as well as it is supposed to, which can possibly lead to premature main bearing failure.

most commonly, the outer part of the harmonic balancer is bonded to the inner part. when the outer part separates, since the drive belts ride on, and are driven by the outer part, your accessories may not function. alternator, power steering, a/c. additionally, there will be loud screeching noises. in advanced stages of wear, the outer part will come off, and the belts can do some damage in the engine bay
