Stalling when driving

Asked by Mr Jun 12, 2024 at 10:00 AM about the 2018 Jeep Cherokee Latitude 4WD with Tech Connect Package

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

For the pass 2 weeks every morning the engine stalls out on my way to work. I
check to see if their where any recalls I found one that seemed to match the
same issues I was having but when I look up my VIN it says it's up to date on
recalls was wondering if there is something else that can cause these issues.

Cam and crank sensors is a common problem with Jeeps. But you must buy them from Jeep, learned that the hard way.

Does it stall when you take your foot off the accelerator pedal, like when coming to a stop sign? If so, I'd suspect a bad IAC (Idle Air Control) valve. Jim
