My anti lock thief light is on an my 98 ford explorer won't start

Try using the key fob, from the outside, to cycle the lock from lock to lock a few times. Get into the vehicle and lock the doors via the fob, then try it.

I don't have a code for the keypad on the door never have used it before

Code is located on white box where the jack is located.bold black type.might be hard see
