98 Mazda Protege tires

Im wondering if R14 195/70 tires would fit on my '98 Mazda Protege ES. Currently there
are R14 185/65 on there. Hopefully someone can help me out.

The 70 on R14 195/70 is the aspect ratio. The tire is 70% as tall as it is wide. 195mm converted to inches--195divided by 25.4=7.6", then 70% of that gives us a 5.3" high tire. Same calculation for 185/65 --185mm/.25.4=7.3 X 0.65=4.7" tall tire.... Just over a half inch shorter in height.... 195mm wide and 185mm wide =10mm difference, 0.4 inches There will be a short quiz at end of class.
