2003 buick century overheating issues

I have a 2003 Buick Century and i have replaced
the temp sensor and the thermostat and i am still
having overheating issues. When i opened the
radiator cap there is gray sludge on it. I wanted to
replace the radiator and the water pump along with
the gaskets and hoses (of course). I dont want to
spend unnecessary money if it wont fix the
problem. Does anyone have any suggestions?

This could be leaky lower intake manifold gaskets leaking oil into the cooling system. It happens a lot on GM 3.1 engines like this. Get the L.I.M. gaskets replaced and check for head gasket leaks too so they can both be done at once, otherwise, you will still have problems and wasted money only to do it over.
